Do You Know My Friend Jesus

I have a friend whose name is Jesus, and I want to tell you about Him. You may have heard about Him but never got to know Him. Jesus wants to be your friend: He wants to know you. Jesus will be the greatest friend you have ever had, and He will be the greatest friend you will ever have.

Let me tell you who Jesus is: He is the son of God. Jesus was crucified on a cross, buried in a tomb; but after three days, He arose from the grave, conquering death and establishing the truth--that He is the Son of God.

He appeared to the apostles and many others then ascended to heaven, promising to return suddenly some day; to raise the dead, execute judgement, and deliver His Kingdom (Church) to God.

Jesus suffered, bled and died--crucified on a cross--so that everyone could have forgiveness of their sins. Everyone has sinned, and we all sin everyday. All who die in sin will go to hell: To everlasting damnation; suffering agony in the lake of fire, where the worm never dies and the fire is never quenched.

God wants all to be saved; none to perish, but all to have everlasting life. That is the reason He sent His Son to die on the cross as a one time sacrifice for all who believe and obey Him.

At the time of Moses, the old covenant that God made with His people, required priests to offer blood sacrifices of animals for sin. God's people followed laws and ordinances, but they did not have the love of God in their hearts. We must love God with all of our heart, all of our mind, and all of our soul, and love our neighbor as ourself.

Because the first covenant was repeatedly broken by God's people, God sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, with a new covenant; so that all who believed in Him and obeyed His Gospel would be saved, by inheriting eternal life as children of God.

So, you see, my friend Jesus is not only my best friend, He is my savior, and He can be yours also. All you have to do is believe that He is the Son of God, confess your belief before others, repent of all the sin in your life, and be baptized for the remission of all those sins.

If you do this you will be saved at that time, but you must understand that inheriting eternal life, to be with God in heaven, means following Jesus, loving Him, and obeying His commands-- the rest of your life. You will be guilty of committing sins, for no one is free from sin. It is human nature to sin, but you will have Jesus that you can turn to with penitent heart and ask forgiveness. He will forgive your sins if you have Godly sorrow and love in your heart, and you are committed to refrain from those sins.

So accept Jesus as your savior and friend: Obey His gospel and be saved today--tomorrow may be too late! Heaven or hell can be as close as your next heartbeat. Where do you want to go after you die? Right now what would your destination be?

Make the decision now to accept Jesus as your savior: Obey His gospel and be added to His church. Can anything be more important?
